  3. "To be in the driving seat" is an idiom you use when you want to say that someone is in control of a situation.
  4. A start-up' is the name given to a new small business. 
  5. 'fashion victim' refers to a person who is too keen on buying anything that comes into fashion. 
  6. 'Life begins at forty' is an idiom that means by the time you are forty years old you have enough experience and skill to do what you want to do with your life.
  7. 'down in the dumps' means unhappy, miserable or depressed.
